The American Muslim Leadership Council (Aml Council) extends its greetings to Muslim Americans and Muslims around the world on Eid Al-Adha, Feast of the Sacrifice. The three-day Eid starts this Friday September 1, 2017 and ends on Sunday September 3rd,2017

AML COUNCIL will conduct its prayers at 9am, at its center located at 4990 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee FL 34746
The Prayer service will begin at 9am, followed by a program for the kids, and food & Beverages.

Eid Al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) is one of two major holidays in the Islamic calendar- the other being Eid el Fitr. Al Adha Eid marks the end of the annual Muslim pilgrimage (Hajj) to the holy sites in Mecca and Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Pilgrimage to Mecca, the Hajj, is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith. Aml Council wishes all the Muslim pilgrims a safe and rewarding completion of the pilgrimage. In a unique step, a few Islamic Centers in Central Florida will be holding a fundraising drive to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.

“Religious holidays are causes for celebration as well as for generosity,its also a time to reflect upon others in the world who are less fortunate and in need of help . During the sermon I will try to relate to our community the need of reaching out to others in need,and to give back and be a productive memebers of our community, and be an asset to the community at large, for indeed it is a duty upon us as the Holy Quran command us to do, Allah says”GIVE TO THE NEAR OF KIN HIS DUE, and TO THE POOR AND NEEDY” ALSO ALLAH SAYS ”THOSE WHO SPEND THEIR MONEY IN THE NIGHT AND IN THE DAY SECRETLY AND OPENLY THEY WILL HAVE THERI REWARD WITH THEIR LORD, THERE IS NO FEAR OVRR THEM NOR WILL THEY GRIEVE” QURAN 2:274 said IMAM HELMI ABUFARAH ELAGHA, Executive Director. “On this Eid, we remember our religious and human obligation to help those in need around the world, including the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas , we will remember them in our prayers, and try to colelct the funds and help we can in food, cloths, and medicine,” added Imam helmi Elagha
