الحمدلله والصلاه والسلام على رسول الله محمد ص،
اجتمع المجلس الإداري بمسؤل الأمن الجديد بمحافظه اسيولا ماركوس لوبيز.
أثناء الاجتماع تحدث المجلس مع مسؤول الأمن عن اهميه توطيد العلاقات بين الجاليه المسلمه ورجال الأمن، خاصه وان اعداد الجالية الامريكيه الاسلاميه بتزيد في المحافظه ولذلك من المهم لرجال الأمن ان يكون لهم معرفه(وان كانت صطحيه) ببعض تعاليم الإسلام وعادات وتقاليد الجاليه المسلمه لكي يتجانبوا اي مشكله قد تحدث من خلف سوء تفاهم بسيط قد يحدث جراء عدم الوعي بتقاليد او أعراف لدى المسلمين مثل طلب رجال الأمن الدخول إلى البيوت في حين عدم وجود رب البيت أو الطلب من النساء خلع الحجاب من على رؤوس النساء من رجال الأمن وغيره، وبناء عليه تم الاتفاق على تنسيق برامج وجلسات تدريبه لشرح تعاليم الإسلام وبعض القواعد البسيطه التي قد تساعد في المستقبل لتفادي اي سوء تفاهم قد ينتج من خلف تلك الأمور، أيضا تم الاتفاق على وجود تواصل مباشر مع مسؤل الأمن في المنطقه كنقطه تواصل ( الكابتن ايفان مولينا) في حاله وجود أي مشاكل قد تصدر في المستقبل تخص الجاليه الاسلاميه وتم الاتفاق على الاجتماع كل ٣-٤ أشهر ليبقى التواصل والعمل المشترك من أجل المصلحه العامه
The American Muslim Leadership Council met with the newly elected Oseola County Sherif Marcos Lopez.
During the meeting the council advisory board thanked the sheriff for his time and discussed many issues among them to work together on a culture sensitivity training offered by the council to the sheriffs office to better understand each other, discussed future partnership and programs that will benefit the community at large, and agreed on trying to meet quarterly to discuss any issues or concerns The community may have especially in light of the rise of the American Muslim community population in Osceola County
The sheriff invited the Council Imam’s and executive director Imam Helmi Abu Farah Agha to participate in the Osceola County Sherif interfaith Council which has several chaplains and clergy that are participating in providing spiritual assistance in the sheriffs office
Furthermore, the sheriff introduced the council to Captain Molina who will be the main point of contact with the sheriffs office in the event that community members may have any concerns or reservations that they wish to relate to the sheriff
