-Imam Helmi (Abu Farah) El Agha, Imam and the Executive Director of Aml Council met with Orange and Osceola County District Attorney Monique Worrell, Assitance District Attorney Traffic Homicide unite Crystal Allen Bureau Chief of Osceola District Attorney, and the Criminal Investigator for the DA office.
The focus of the meeting was regarding The case of hit-and-run involving an Australian Muslim Disney intern who died in a hit-and-run accident back in 2013. Furthermore, the Director discussed the open case regarding the threats received, the case is pending in Osceola county court, and the Imam will be notified once a sentencing date has been set to allow the Imam to attend and make a statement on behalf of the Center. Furthermore, The case of hit-and-run involving an Australian Muslim Disney intern who died, as a result, is currently pending in court proceedings, and the AML Council will be present in court on behalf of the family.
Furthermore, the Imam discussed the district attorney office participation in future programs more specifically the “bridge the gap program” that was founded by AML COUNCIL which includes the FBI, state, county, and city law-enforcement agencies, various government agencies, as well as educational institutions and private sectors to have a better understanding of American Muslim culture, to build better channels of communication to work together in the future.
The Imam thanked the District Attorney for her prompt response to a meeting and related his gratitude on behalf of the American Muslim Community in the Kissimmee area and look forward to working closely with the DA office on any matters related to the community at large, and to the American-Muslim community specifically. It is very important for both parties to work together as AML Council is one of the leading local organizations in the area and has had well over 10 years of outreach programs, and activities that have had a positive impact directly and indirectly in the community in Osceola County and the surrounding areas.
Aml Council hopes to continue to build a stronger relationship with the DA office thru activities, and programs that can be beneficial o the community at large
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيمالحمد لله والصلاة السلام على رسول الله، محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم،قابل الإمام حلمي المعتصم بالله أبوفرح الأغا مع النائب العام لمحافظة أسيولا و اورانج لمناقشة عدة قضايا تخص الجالية الاسلامية و بالتحديد قضيه الشاب المسلم الاسترالي الذي توفى اثر حادث سيارة و لقد تم القبض على الجاني , و قضية التهديدات للمركز الاسلامي و لقد تم القبض على الجاني القضيه مازلت في المحكمةختاما بحث الامام مع النائب العام التعاون مع المركز في المستقبل في مشاركة مكتب النائب العام في البرامج التي يقدمها المركز الاسلامي للتعريف بدين الاسلام و عادات و تقاليد المسلمين.
