The American Muslim Leadership Council Center of Kissimmee (AML Council Center) announces that Monday, March 11th, 2024 will be the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the first day of Fasting will be Monday and daily night prayers will be offered on the Center as well as Meals (Iftar) for those who are fasting will be offered Nightly at Sunset. 

“Right now, with the ongoing war in Gaza, It pains us that the Holy Month is here, and yet the attacks on the civilian people of Gaza continue,” Said Imam Helmi El Agha (the Imam and Executive Director of the AML Council Center). “These Brutal Attacks Must Stop” added Imam Helmi

“I would like to ask our Fellow Central Florida Citizens, Government Agencies, Educators Universities, Colleges, and Local Schools, Private Sectores, Interfaith leaders and Neighbors to please be mindful and respectful of one another, and be mindful that during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Muslims Do Not Eat or Drink from Sun-Rise to Sun-Set, Many stand up in Congregational Prayers at their local Masjid (Mosque), and for the next 30 Days Muslims will be observing the Holy Month of RamadanRecently, since the war on Gaza, we have seen a “Rise in Complaints of Anti-Muslim Sentiments in the Nation and World Wide”. We will not tolerate, neither should anyone (American-Muslims) or others, accept any insults, or harassment due to someone’s Faith or Belive, that is what makes this County great and I would like to urge all to “Immediately report any suspicious activities around Islamic Centers, Schools, or infrastructures o Law Enforcement. Furthermore, it is VERY IMPORTANT that Muslim Community Leaders Coordinate with their local Law Enforcement to keep a close on the Islamic Centers especially during Night Time prayers, as we have seen many attacks in the past unfortunately at night while some are heading to a place of worship in search of Peace and Tranquility, others are seeking to take the life of others for no reason other than their Hate, and Ignorance and that is why its vital to stay vigilant to prevent loss of life! 

We have seen an increased number of American Muslim Families relocate to central Florida in the last few. years and the number of Students who registered in our private school (the Only Private School in Osceola County) added Imam HelmiAML Council Wishes Everyone a Blessed Month of Ramadan, and Pray this month brings Traqiity and Peace soon to the remainder of the world, AmenAn Iftar Dinner will be offered Daily at the center at Sunset
